Welcome to Indian Grid Certification Authority

The Indian Grid Certification Authority(IGCA) provides X.509 certificates to support the secure environment in grid computing. IGCA is an accredited member of the APgridPMA (Asia Pacific Grid Policy Management Authority) for Grid Authentication. IGCA is located at Centre For Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC), Knowledge Park, Bangalore, India.

What Are Digital Certificates ?

Your certificates are digital identities that are equivalent to your normal ID (e.g., your driving license, passport or school/employer ID card), but in a digital format that can be used on Grid computing environments Digital certificates can be issued to people and/or grid servers and are commonly used for many purposes:
  • Grid Users - Helps a grid user to access resources across Globe
  • Grid Servers - Allows a Grid node or server to participate in Grid

How Do I Get A Digital Certificate ?
